Chablis
Chablis Domain: High quality wines
The Chablis domain (or Chablisian domain) extends over a territory of more than 4,500 hectares on a mainly limestone soil. This vineyard, which also gives its name to the AOC Chablis, produces only one kind of grape: the Chardonnay. But this fact, hasn’t prevented the domain from dividing into four different brands: Chablis wines, Petit Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru and Chablis Grand Cru. As we know some of its productions are exceptional, and among the most famous in the world in their category! It is not uncommon for a bottle of the Dauvissat domain, for example, to cost between a few hundred and a thousand euros.
The Chablis are made only from chardonnay, they are exclusively whites. If you are an amateur of this grape, this is the Burgundy wine of your dreams. The hillsides have a northern climate, it is located more than 100 kilometers from the Côte de Beaune. It produces very clear wines, particularly the Small Chablis. The latter is rich in flavors such as flowers (hawthorn and acacia), citrus fruit and sometimes even, peach. To be served fresh at the table, at around 9° C or 10° C. At Vin Grand Crus, everyone who owns a bottle of Chablis can sell their wine at a good price.
